Some activities we did this weekend to keep us in shape, a little training and a little playing around. Have a Great Week !!!
Here are a few activities to do with your dog, I’m sure you can think of a few more. So get out there after school or work and spend some quality time with your best friend, your dog !!!
What can a boxer do, you say? You should probably ask, what can’t a boxer do?
Boxers are companions, therapy, service, war, rescue, circus, police, sports, ranch hand, guards, to name a few of the many things a boxer can do. All the boxer needs is a dedicated trainer that can appreciate the boxer can do attitude, he won’t give up even when you do.
Don’t forget the boxer was made to be a working breed. A boxer that works is a better, healthier boxer. Enjoy your boxers, the good die young.
Summer Challenge 2019 is in the books, the categories were: fast recall, agility, dumbbell retrieve, tracking and scent work.
The results: The winner is Mari with the highest points, Star 2nd Place, Storm 3rd Place, CB 4th Place, Gus 5th Place, and Atlas (the Clown) 6th Place.
Have a great Summer and be safe out there. We’re on vacation until it cools off a bit, just too hot for outdoor anything, just indoor sports for now !!!
A little training at our club with our new trainer.
It’s cooler, time to go back to training. A little tracking, obedience and agility to prepare for our next title.
The tracks are getting longer and better article indication.
In obedience, the heeling with attention is getting better and better. The dumbbell retrieve on flat is getting there and in the jump the height is being worked on for better success at jumping the higher height over and retrieving the dumbbell. The send out is getting longer and more accurate.
Agility is done as an all around working for the dog. It teaches attention to the handler, distance, and accuracy, it then passes on to tracking, and obedience.
I like to cross train the boxers, it keeps them and me on our toes. It teaches the boxers other skills that they can then use in other situations. Agility helps to build confidence, coordination and cooperation at least in my boxers, can’t speak for others, just mine.
